Carlo Reyes, DPT

HI! I’m Carlo and I’m a Physical Therapist and owner of Physical Therapy Concepts. We help people in the South Bay stay active, move better, and get back to things they love to do without using medications, unnecessary doctors visits, or surgery. We founded PT Concepts with the belief that people like YOU want to spend more time with your provider, have been frustrated with today’s healthcare system, and are seeking solutions when all other treatments have failed.

Im originally from San Diego and found my calling while volunteering in a PT clinic while studying Kinesiology at Cal Poly in Pomona. There I met a wonderful lady who had hurt her foot over a year ago and could not walk (she was in a wheelchair). After treatment she walked out of PT hugging (crying) and thanking all of us- that’s when I was hooked. Ever since then it’s been my passion to help people get their life back in a private, one-on-one setting where YOU will be our focus the entire time.

When I’m out of the office I enjoy spending time with my amazing wife and family. I love to surf, hike, skateboard, bike and just try to keep up with my three crazy boys!

I graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy from California State University, Long Beach and was awarded my Doctor of Physical Therapy through Temple University. I have been working with the outpatient Orthopedic Adult (and children) population in the South Bay for over 10 years.

Brittnay, Lead Yoga Instructor

HI! I’m Brittnay and I’m the lead yoga instructor and patient care coordinator here at Physical Therapy Concepts. I was drawn to PT Concepts because of the one-on-one attention each patient receives and the strong relationships we create. Starting from the first point of contact we listen to your story and work together to get you back to doing what you love.

I first began practicing yoga 10 years ago and it has helped me become more aware of my physical and mental well being. Yoga teaches us to be patient with ourselves and heighten our internal strength so we can improve our quality of life. Through movement, breath, and meditation we can experience a clearer view of ourselves.

I’ve completed multiple trainings through CorePower Yoga varying from a vinyasa-based practice to restorative. I have also completed a 300hr professional training with the guidance of Charlie Samos and Gigi Snyder at YogaWorks. I’m currently pursuing my degree in kinesiology.

When I’m out of the clinic I love reading, yoga-ing and exploring the outdoors with my partner and 2 dogs. We’re avid campers and love a good road trip!

Laurie, Yoga Instructor

Hi! My name is Laurie. I’ve been a yoga instructor for about 14 years. I presently teach a level 1 class Friday evenings at Physical Therapy Concepts.

I was drawn to PT Concepts because I was a client of Carlo’s for my own water sports injuries. I love his holistic approach to wellness.

I have a passion for wellness. I believe all parts of us are connected. Yoga is a great tool to find that unity and to strengthen muscles, become more flexible and find more balance in life.

I love helping people achieve their goals. At PT Concepts we offer an approach that is accepting of where our clients are in life at present, guiding them to achieve their goals.

When I am out of the clinic I love to surf, outrigger paddle, garden and spend time with my family including two new grandchildren.
